Colorado continues to attract an educated population; tech businesses here have a large pool of technically savvy workers from which to hire.  Tourism is also a vibrant industry, and there are always seasonal jobs in the ski areas, during summer and fall.

Colorado has passed two referendums that should help alleviate some of the budget constraints that the state has been feeling since the passage of the Tabor amendment in the early 1990s.  With more money available, business in Colorado is looking up.  Health care, roads and higher education are all slated to receive more funding, which will jumpstart the private sector as these industries begin hiring more workers.
