Next to Aspen, Vail is the most expensive area in Colorado when it comes to real estate prices. This charming, but manufactured, mountain town sits just off of I-70 about half way through the Colorado Rockies and has the feel of a Swiss village.  The skiing is, of course, world-class, and real estate prices reflect this.  Vail Village is wonderful for walking and dining, and in the summer, thousands of flowers are in bloom throughout the town.  There are some truly stunning homes dotting the hillsides here, as well as breathtaking condos in and about the Village.  It will take a king's ransom to call Vail home (indeed, few who work here can afford to live here), but it is one of Colorado's most beautiful locations.
